Investigating big cats in East Anglia and beyond regrettably doesn’t come cheap!
I get at least a couple of big cat reports each week, especially in the winter. Each report takes several hours of follow-up and recording on a database. There’s communicating with the witnesses by email and phone, then there’s getting on to experts to get their opinion, especially if there’s audio and photographs. Then there’s maintaining a mailing list and the data protection side, which takes additional time.
In the event I’m able to come out and take a look at the site, there’s travel and time when I’m not working. There’s equipment – a ten-metre tape measure for measuring distances for example, I hope to purchase meters for measuring distances too. Trail cams are a distant possibility too.
My only income is from the sale of books and piddling expenses from talks. So if you want bigcatsofsuffolk to continue its work, “tip” me through Ko-fi, at ko-fi.com/mattsalusbury.
Many thanks!
